Huddersfield Queensgate Market Hall

Huddersfield Co-operative Building

Huddersfield's Queensgate Market is a spectacular combination of architecture, engineering and art.

The Huddersfield Co-operative Society's 1937 extension is a fine example of commercial modernism in local stone that has importance as part of the townscape.

Huddersfield Gem is a community group brought together by threats to these buildings. Gem aims to study, promote and ensure the future of the Queensgate Market Hall and the Co-operative extension. Gem will work in partnership with other groups and organisations to identify the best options for the buildings and their users.
